Condition Monitoring

Condition monitoring is the process of monitoring a parameter of condition in machinery (vibration, temperature etc.), to identify a significant change which is indicative of a developing fault. It is a major component of predictive maintenance. The use of condition monitoring allows maintenance to be scheduled, or other actions to be taken to prevent failure and avoid its consequences. Condition Monitoring is a unique technique carried out to investigate the life span and future failures of the component / material when it is functioning in ambient or any specific working conditions. Condition monitoring techniques are normally used on rotating equipment and other machinery (pumps, electric motors, internal combustion engines, presses).

EQS involved and provided Conditional Monitoring service in Sectors like:

  • Industrial Manufacturing Conditional Monitoring
  • Heavy Equipment Conditional Monitoring
  • Transportation Conditional Monitoring
  • Oil and Gas Conditional Monitoring
  • Wind Equipment Conditional Monitoring

The following list includes the main condition monitoring techniques applied in the above mentioned sectors:

  • Vibration Analysis and diagnostics
  • Acoustic emission
  • Infrared thermography
  • Ultrasound testing (Material Thickness/Flaw Testing)
