Inspection of pipelines occurs both at time of their construction and while in service. n-service inspections associated with pipeline integrity programs include both in-line inspection and direct assessment. Direct assessment involves analysis of data from in-line inspections and other information, above ground inspection, selecting digs for visual and non-destructive inspections, and post assessments.

IEQS provides pipeline owners with inspection and materials engineering services to support their construction, maintenance and integrity management programs. Inspection work is focused on identifying corrosion and cracking in pipelines. Our materials engineering group performs failure analysis examinations and provides assistance in the development of weld procedures and integrity plans.
